Extra Curricular Activities

Weston Primary Montessori is situated near the 550 acre estate of Castletown House; and we use this natural resource to facilitate our students explore and learn from this beautiful parkland.  Along with nature trails, where our students learn about nature from experience outside of a classroom; we use Castletown House for Halloween walks, Easter egg hunts and school picnics.  Sports and activities are also very important to us; and we use Barnhall Rugby Club pitches, (which share the grounds with our school) to hold PE classes and our annual Sports Day.. Of course, we have out yearly school tour; and this is complimented by other educational trips throughout the year.

Save the World Project
A Save the World school project will be introduced for all children and will be ongoing throughout the year. We were thrilled that Weston Primary School won the Intel Sustainability Award in May 2019. This award will go towards developing an intergenerational garden between Weston Primary and Elm Hall Nursing Home, this project will include all of the children in the school and will encourage a growing awareness of both the human lifecycle and the lifecycle of nature. We are really excited to get this project started in early September.
